About this craft
Yuzen (友禅) is a traditional Kyoto dyeing and printing technique dating to the Edo period, originally developed for kimono fabric. Applied here to tinplate, it preserves heritage printmaking in a contemporary kitchen vessel.
Description
Kyoto-made tea canister with hand-printed Yuzen cherry blossom design
Wipe exterior gently with a dry cloth to maintain printed design. Keep in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and strong odors. The tin liner is sealed; do not immerse in water. Ideal storage temperature is 50–70°F (10–21°C).
