About this craft
Shizuoka is Japan's premier tea-growing region, known for fukamushi (deep-steamed) green tea. This technique—steaming leaves 3–4 times longer than standard—is distinctly Japanese and produces a softer, more vegetal flavor profile than lighter Japanese green teas.
Description
Bulk Shizuoka deep-steamed green tea with rich, mellow flavor profile
Store in an airtight container away from light, heat, and moisture to preserve flavor and freshness. Brew 1 teaspoon per 6oz water at 160–175°F for 2–3 minutes. Deep-steamed teas yield a softer, more vegetal cup compared to lighter green teas.
