About this craft
Arita (有田焼) has been Japan's porcelain capital since the 1600s, pioneering blue-and-white and colored ceramics. Buddhist altar vessels are a traditional craft—this piece follows centuries of shrine and home altar design for spiritual offerings.
Description
Arita ceramic water container for Buddhist altar with gold-line accents
Hand wash gently with soft cloth. Do not soak. Microwave safe for warming offerings. Store in a dry place to preserve the ceramic glaze. The gold line is hand-applied and may fade slightly with repeated washing; this is natural aging.
