About this craft
Awaji Baikundo (淡路梅薫堂) is a Hyogo-based artisan candlemaker established in 1908, rooted in Awaji Island's traditional wax-working heritage. The morning glory (asagao) reflects Japanese seasonal sensibility—valued in summer as a symbol of brief, precious beauty.
