About this craft
Nambu-yaki is a traditional ironware craft from Iwate Prefecture, dating to the 17th century. Hand-cast using centuries-old techniques. The gourd motif is a traditional Japanese symbol of good fortune and abundance.
Description
1. 空焚きは厳禁です。鋳鉄の変形や損傷を防ぎ、寿命に影響を与えるため、加熱前に必ず十分な水またはお茶を入れてください。 2. 同じ部分を長時間高温で直接加熱することは避けてください。直接加熱は可能ですが、局所的な過熱やひび割れを防ぐため、加熱量を調節してください。 3. 使用後は速やかに洗浄してください。ティーポットと茶こしは、柔らかく湿らせた布で拭いてください。洗浄後は、水が溜まって錆びるのを防ぐため、必ず完全に乾燥させ、乾燥した風通しの良い場所に保管してください。 4. 茶こしはステンレス製です。表面の傷や損傷を防ぐため、スチールウールなどの硬い道具でこすらないでください。茶渋の蓄積を防ぐため、茶こしは定期的に分解して洗浄してください。 5. 輸送中は、衝突や落下による鋳鉄の損傷を防ぐため、慎重に取り扱ってください。長期間使用しない場合は、ティーポットを乾燥させ、少量の食用油を塗って酸化や錆を防いでください。
