About this craft
Nambu-yaki is a traditional ironware craft from Iwate Prefecture, dating to the 17th century. Hand-cast using centuries-old techniques. The gourd motif is a traditional Japanese symbol of good fortune and abundance.
Description
Cast-iron kyusu with gold-leaf gourd, pre-seasoned, 300ml
Do not leave empty on heat. Always fill with water or tea before heating. Avoid prolonged direct flame on one spot. After use, wash gently with soft damp cloth and dry completely in ventilated area. Store dry to prevent rust. For long storage, apply thin food-grade oil to interior.
