About this craft
Ikebana (生け花), the art of Japanese flower arrangement, requires specialized vessels. The suiban (shallow basin) and kenzan (pin frog) are essential tools that have been refined over centuries. This ceramic basin reflects traditional ikebana aesthetics.
Description
Japanese ceramic ikebana basin with copper kenzan for flower arrangements
Hand-wash ceramic after each use. Dry thoroughly. Store kenzan separately to prevent rust. For seasonal arrangements, empty and dry basin completely before storage. The rubber ring prevents the kenzan from shifting during arrangement.
