About this craft
Hagi-yaki is a 400-year-old pottery tradition from Yamaguchi Prefecture. Known for soft ash glazes and subtle color shifts, Hagi ware embodies wabi-sabi—finding beauty in imperfection and impermanence. Each hand-thrown bowl is unique.
Description
Hand-thrown Hagi-yaki matcha bowl with traditional ash glaze
Wash gently by hand; dishwasher not recommended. The glaze may develop surface marks and color shifts with use—this is natural aging (kintsugi philosophy). Avoid extreme temperature swings. Store dry in a cool place.
