About this craft
Nambu ironware from Morioka has been cast since the 17th century. Iwachu maintains this tradition with hand-poured, hand-finished iron. The Turkish blue glaze reflects kōdō (incense ceremony) aesthetics adapted to modern Japanese design.
Description
Iwachu Nambu cast iron incense burner, Turkish blue & gold
Hand wash only; do not submerge. Dry immediately after each use to prevent rust. After extended storage, wipe with a lightly oiled cloth to restore luster. Place on a heat-safe, stable surface. Suitable for loose incense (powder), cones, or coils depending on burner configuration.
