About this craft

Description
Traditional cast iron teapot from Nambu Ironware, Iwate, Japan
Season the interior before first use by brewing strong tea. After each use, rinse with hot water and dry thoroughly while warm. Wipe interior and exterior dry; store uncovered to allow air circulation. Oil the exterior occasionally to prevent rust. Never use soap. A dark patina develops with time—this is normal and desired.
