About this craft
Tenugui is a traditional Japanese hand towel. Chusen is centuries-old indigo hand-dyeing. Sansai (mountain vegetables) are quintessential Japanese spring forage. This design bridges seasonal food culture and textile art, deepening indigo with each wash per wabi-sabi principle.
Description
Hand-dyed Japanese tenugui with spring mountain vegetable motif
Hand wash separately in cool water; indigo releases excess dye in early washes. Do not leave wet to avoid color transfer. Hang to dry. Indigo deepens and softens with age and repeated washing. As kitchen cloth, wash frequently; as wall hanging, minimize direct sunlight.
