Kissho manufactures traditional sumi-e pigments in Kyoto, preserving techniques developed for Japanese and East Asian brush painting. Sumi-e (墨絵) is the foundational ink wash medium of Japanese and Chinese literati art.
Description
Kyoto sumi-e watercolor set with gold, silver, and 6 traditional pigments in ceramic pans
Apply clean water to the brush and gently rub the pigment surface to dissolve. Control tone by water ratio. Allow pans to dry between sessions. Store in a cool, dry location. Do not expose to extreme heat. Ceramic pans are durable but fragile if dropped.
