About this craft
Ryukyu glass is a post-war Okinawan craft tradition where glassblowers trap colorful beach scenery—ocean, sky, coral—inside recycled or clear glass vessels. It celebrates Okinawa's subtropical beauty and represents a living folk craft tradition distinct from mainland Japanese glass arts.
