About this craft
Kuretake (呉竹) founded 1902 in Osaka. Hanshi paper is the traditional substrate for shodō (Japanese calligraphy). Thickness and absorbency are calibrated to Japanese brush and ink behavior—not interchangeable with Western sketching paper.
