About this craft
Kuretake (呉竹) founded 1902 in Osaka. Hanshi paper is the traditional substrate for shodō (Japanese calligraphy). Thickness and absorbency are calibrated to Japanese brush and ink behavior—not interchangeable with Western sketching paper.
Description
Thick Japanese calligraphy paper for practice and instruction, 100 sheets.
Store flat in a dry environment. Keep away from direct sunlight and moisture. Suitable for brush and ink practice; moderate absorbency minimizes puddles while supporting layered strokes common in shodō forms.
