About this craft
Hatokido (鳩居堂) was established in 1663 in Kyoto and remains one of Japan's oldest stationery houses. Washi—hand-pulled paper from kozo, mitsumata, or gampi fibers—is a UNESCO-recognized Japanese craft. Hatokido's designs reflect seasonal aesthetics and traditional Kyoto sensibilities.
Description

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to preserve washi color and prevent yellowing. Handle with dry hands to avoid dampening the delicate paper. Washi ages beautifully over time.
