About this craft
Chasen (茶筅) is a traditional Japanese tea-ceremony whisk, hand-woven from bamboo. Atelier Citron's Kyoto workshop follows centuries-old Kyo-kumachi craft methods. Natural bamboo selection and careful bristle arrangement reflect Japanese artisanal philosophy of simplicity and function.
Description
Kyoto-made bamboo matcha whisk, handcrafted for even light and dark tea
Rinse immediately after use under cool water. Do not soak or submerge. Air-dry bristles pointing upward. Avoid dishwasher and direct heat. Store in the provided protective tube. Bristles may shed slightly in first 3–5 uses — this is normal. Lifespan: 1–3 years of regular use.
