Nambu ironware (Nambu-tekki) is a UNESCO-recognized traditional craft from Morioka, Iwate Prefecture, dating to the 17th century. Hand-cast using sand molds and refined surface techniques, each piece develops a natural patina that enhances water quality.

Season by boiling water and drying immediately without residue. Do not wash interior with detergent or scrub. Scale buildup is normal and improves flavor. Red rust indicates age and seasoning—scales will cover it. Handle with care to preserve inner coating.
