About this craft
Kakegawa (掛川), in Shizuoka Prefecture, is Japan's second-largest tea region with over 400 years of cultivation history. Fukamushi (深蒸し, deep-steam) is a regional specialty that produces a darker, richer tea with higher umami and lower astringency.
Description
First-grade Kakegawa deep-steamed sencha from historic Shizuoka tea region
Brew at 60–70°C for 2–3 minutes. Use 1 teaspoon per cup. Store in an airtight container away from light and strong odors. Consume within 1–2 months of opening for best flavor.
