About this craft
Tsurugu series represents Takaoka's signature hand-shaped copper vessels. The Edo-period Toyama metalwork tradition emphasizes natural aging and seasonal color shifts (called 'iro' or color appreciation).
Description
Takaoka copper Tsurugu No.7 vase, hand-shaped with developing patina
Wipe with soft cloth. Copper patina develops naturally over time and with exposure to air and light—this is part of the design, not deterioration. Display only or use with water-sealed insert for floral arrangements.
