About this craft
Magewappa is a traditional Japanese woodcraft technique of hand-bending thin wood without nails or glue, originating in the Edo period. Used for bento boxes, lunch carriers, and ceremonial vessels.
Description
Hand-crafted magewappa onigiri case in natural wood
Hand wash gently with warm water and soft cloth. Do not immerse prolonged periods; let air-dry upright. Do not microwave or dishwash. Wood will darken and patina naturally with age—this is intentional and adds character.
