Tokoname (常滑) is one of Japan's Six Ancient Kilns. Located in Aichi Prefecture, the pottery tradition dates back over a millennium. Tokoname-yaki is prized for its iron-rich clay and distinctive brown glazes, ideal for tea ware.
Description
Tokoname brown porcelain kyusu with mesh infuser, 12oz
Rinse with hot water before first use to season clay. Use loose leaf tea; fill mesh basket loosely for optimal steeping. Clean immediately after brewing with hot water. Air dry completely. Avoid sudden temperature changes. Do not use dishwasher.
