About this craft
Urushi lacquerware is a UNESCO-recognized Japanese craft dating centuries. Hand-applied lacquer develops a protective finish that improves with time, reflecting the Japanese philosophy of 'wabi-sabi'—beauty in natural aging and imperfection. Tokusei continues this tradition with everyday table pieces.
Description
Lacquered wood chopstick rests in two shapes. Set of 5 for mixed dining.
Hand-wash after meals and dry immediately. Do not soak or use dishwasher. The lacquer finish will develop a warm patina over time with regular use. Occasional light oiling with food-safe mineral oil keeps the wood supple.
