About this craft
Ka-ya (mosquito net fabric) is a centuries-old Japanese textile specialty from Nara Prefecture, traditionally woven with a coarse open weave for air permeability. Layering 7 sheets creates the characteristic absorbency and quick-dry properties prized in Japanese households.
