Mashiko-yaki (ηεηΌ) is a 150-year-old pottery tradition from Tochigi prefecture, known for rustic earthenware and hand-applied celadon glazes. Tsukamoto is a working kiln in the Mashiko district.
Description
Hand-wash gently; avoid dishwasher and microwave. Earthenware is porous and may absorb liquids over time. Glazed surface will develop micro-wear and patina with use β this is characteristic of hand-thrown pottery. Store upright in dry cabinet. Not food-safe for prolonged hot liquid storage without coasters
