About this craft
Seto ware (Setoyaki) originates in Seto, Aichi Prefecture, one of Japan's six ancient ceramic centers. Oribe glaze tradition traces to Momoyama period tea ceremony aesthetics (16th century). The hemp-leaf pattern is derived from traditional Japanese textile design.
