About this craft
Yamanaka-nuri is a registered Traditional Craft, originating in Kaga region (Ishikawa) in the 17th century. Mokume (wood-grain) layering with copper leaf under translucent urushi lacquer is a signature technique. Each piece reflects the maker's hand finishing.
Description
Hand-lacquered Yamanaka plate with copper mokume finish
Hand wash gently with warm water and soft cloth; do not soak or expose to dishwasher. Dry immediately. Avoid extreme temperature changes. Store away from direct sunlight. Food-safe for dry goods and seasonal display; avoid prolonged contact with oily foods.
