About this craft
Nambu ironware (南部鉄器) from Morioka, Iwate Prefecture, represents 350 years of continuous casting tradition. Iwachu, founded in 1667, is one of the oldest and most recognized makers. The arare (lattice) pattern is a signature Nambu motif.
Description
Heritage cast-iron trivet with traditional arare weave pattern
Hand wash immediately after use. Dry thoroughly and apply thin coat of oil to prevent rust. Do not soak. Season regularly like cast-iron cookware. Avoid thermal shock (gradual heat change only).
