About this craft
Hagi-yaki (萩焼) is a 400+ year pottery tradition from Yamaguchi Prefecture. Known for warm earth tones, porous clay body, and wabi-sabi aesthetic that deepens with age and use.
Description
Hagi pottery tumbler pair with authentic regional glaze and patina potential
Hagi-yaki clay is porous and develops character with use. Wash gently; stains and patina are natural aging marks prized in Japanese aesthetics (wabi-sabi). Avoid prolonged soaking. Dishwasher safe but hand washing preserves glaze texture.
