About this craft
Tsugaru Vidro is a regional glass craft tradition from Aomori Prefecture, dating to the 1970s. Craftsmen hand-shape each piece using molten glass and color overlays. The Nikofukei ('Japanese Landscape') series draws from seasonal Japanese motifs—hydrangea, firefly, snow—making each color a cultural reference.
