About this craft
Banko Ware (Bankoyaki) is a regional earthenware tradition from Mie Prefecture, Japan, dating to the 17th century. Deep-steamed glazing (fukuro-yaki) creates porous, breathable vessels ideal for green tea brewing. Kitsusako specializes in this craft.
