About this craft
Edo kiriko is a traditional Tokyo cutting-glass technique dating to the 1830s, designated as a Tangible Cultural Property of Japan. The yarai (fish-scale) and ko mon (small crest) patterns are signature motifs. Tai Takuro Koubou represents a contemporary revival of this heritage craft.
Description
Hand-cut Edo kiriko old fashioned glass with traditional fish-scale pattern, made in Tokyo
Hand wash only with soft cloth; avoid dishwasher and harsh scrubbing. Slight variations in color, pattern clarity, and air bubbles are natural to hand-blown glass and indicate authenticity. Display in wooden box or upright shelf position to prevent chipping.
