About this craft
Iga-yaki ceramic tradition from Iga City, dating to the 8th century. Hasezo, established 1832, is one of Iga's respected pottery houses. Unglazed earthenware is characteristic of this regional style.

Handmade Iga-yaki donabe for gentle heat and slow cooking
Season before first use by simmering water in the pot. Dry immediately after washing; store uncovered to prevent mildew. Do not use on induction. Hand-wash only.
