About this craft
Tenugui (手ぬぐい) are narrow cotton hand towels integral to Japanese daily life for centuries. Komon (小紋) refers to small repeating geometric or floral patterns traditional to Japanese textile dyeing. Komesichi of Kyoto carries forward this heritage via hand-printed indigo work.
Description
Traditional Kyoto hand towels with indigo komon print, set of 3, fray-resistant
Machine wash in cool water with similar colors. Air dry to preserve indigo depth. Avoid bleach. Light ironing on low heat is optional. Expect slight indigo bleeding on first wash—this is normal and natural.
