About this craft
Yamanaka lacquer from Ishikawa Prefecture (450-year tradition). Striped wood-grain pattern reflects Edo artisanal attention to natural material variation paired with urushi finish.
Description
Yamanaka-lacquered striped wooden miso bowl with chopsticks
Hand wash only with warm water and soft cloth; do not soak, use dishwasher, or microwave. Dry immediately. Natural wood grain may show roughness or stain-like spots—normal. The striped pattern will deepen over time as lacquer ages. Store cool and dry. Not food-safe for prolonged hot liquids; serve warm miso soup only.
