Description
Country of Manufacture: Japan. Igayaki is a pottery made in the mountains surrounding Iga city of Mie Prefecture where Shigaraku and the mountains are separated by Shiga City. Developed in the late 7th century to the 8th century. Initially a seed urn is made and the like, it became known as a pottery of tea hot water during the Asuchi Momoyama period.
