About this craft
Bizen-yaki is one of Japan's Six Ancient Kilns (Rōkkatsu), originating in Okayama Prefecture over 800 years ago. Hand-fired in traditional anagama tunnel kilns, creating distinctive natural ash glazing and surface character unique to this region.

Hand-wash recommended to preserve natural glaze. Avoid dishwasher and prolonged soaking. Due to hand-fired nature, surface may have slight texture or ash deposits—this is characteristic of Bizen ware. Used condition; inspect for cracks before use.
