About this craft
Bizen ware originates from Okayama Prefecture and is one of Japan's six ancient kiln traditions (rokkotsuyaki). Hand-thrown using traditional reduction-firing kiln techniques that create distinctive earthy glaze and subtle ash patterns unique to Bizen.
