About this craft
Bizen-yaki (備前焼) is one of Japan's Six Ancient Kilns, established in the 12th century in Okayama. Unglazed high-fire stoneware, characterised by natural ash glazing and earthy hues. Each piece is one-of-a-kind due to kiln effects.
