Tsugaru Bidoro (津軽びいどろ) is a centuries-old blown-glass technique native to Aomori Prefecture, Japan. Aderia masters this distinctive method, hand-applying contrasting colored-glass details and appliqués to create each piece. The technique produces a warm, artisanal aesthetic impossible to replicate industrially, making each vase unique.
Description
Handmade Tsugaru Bidoro glass vase with appliquéd flowers, 8.5in tall
Hand wash gently in warm water with soft cloth. Do not place in dishwasher or expose to rapid temperature changes. Dry upright. For ikebana, change water every 2–3 days and trim stems as needed. Display away from direct heat to preserve glass luster.
