About this craft
Tenugui are a distinctly Japanese cotton cloth, traditionally used in kitchens, gardens, and as casual wear. The chūsen indigo-dyeing technique (resist dyeing with paste) has been refined in Japan for centuries. The Beer and Beans motif reflects 1950s–70s folk-art design tradition common in rural Japan.
Description
Hand-dyed Japanese tenugui with vintage beer and beans folk motif
Hand wash or gentle machine wash in cool water to preserve indigo color. Air dry. Expect some indigo bleed on first wash; this is normal and diminishes with subsequent washes. The cotton will soften with use. Avoid chlorine bleach.
