About this craft
Mino-yaki is one of Japan's Six Ancient Kilns, with pottery tradition dating to the 12th century in Gifu Prefecture. Kurobizen references the kurogane (iron-rich) aesthetic of Bizen ware, applied here as a rustic, darkly-glazed finish that deepens with use β a hallmark of Japanese wabi-sabi philosophy.
