About this craft
Tenugui are a foundational Japanese textile utility cloth, used for centuries in bathhouses, tea ceremonies, and daily life. Komon (small geometric pattern) represents a classic motif in Japanese dyeing and weaving. KOMESICHI's unstitched raw hems honor the traditional construction method.
Description
Authentic Japanese tenugui with komon pattern, 100% cotton, set of 3, unstitched
Machine wash cool, gentle cycle. Tumble dry low or air dry. Tenugui shrink slightly on first wash; expect final dimensions approximately 31 × 88 cm. Do not bleach. Unstitched hems will fray naturally; this is characteristic and intentional in traditional tenugui design.
